Tell me: why does light scatter
when it hits your face,
even your shadow
makes me sigh for your shape
You are as wide as you are long, like time,
your love evades me,
like the length of the path travelled
by light shaving a second.
Is the chase of light faster in water than air?
Whatever the answer be,
I am massless,
like a particle of light
journeying through air and sea,
sailing to Dimensions Unknown.
Constant like the sun you are, and yet
you are dying,
but light itself is eternal and no one knows why,
though I suppose that takes us
