Minerva’s Perch is a blog about peace, love, knowledge, and civilization in an age of crisis. Its main subjects include religion, philosophy, poetry, and art. Its muses are the freedom fighters of the twentieth century, particularly Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and W.E.B Du Bois while its spiritual anchor is Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, whose message of love, truth, renunciation, and realization are vital in these waning years of the Kali Yuga or Iron Age. The editor of the site, and creator of many of the essays, poetry, and visual art presented, is R. Divya Nair. She is a teacher and doctoral candidate in literary studies.
